Locally, first — every memory is saved to your browser's IndexedDB the moment you capture it, with no account required. If you opt into cloud sync, a copy is also stored in SiderMem's Supabase-hosted database, so it's accessible from any device where you're signed in.
Your browser's IndexedDB holds every memory you save — unlimited, free on every plan, and available with no internet connection or account. This is the only place your data lives unless you explicitly sync it.
Syncing a memory sends a copy to SiderMem's cloud database, subject to your plan's quota (100 on Free, 1000 on Pro, unlimited on Ultra). This is what makes a memory available on other devices and is required for public sharing and Ask.
Clearing your browser's site data will permanently erase local-only memories that were never synced. Always keep a backup via Markdown export or enable cloud sync for automatic off-device copies.
See the Privacy Policy for complete legal terms, and how to delete cloud data if you want it removed.
